On the morning of July 6th, local time, the seventeenth meeting of the leaders of the BRICS countries, which lasted for two days, officially commenced in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The theme of this meeting was “Strengthening Global South Cooperation and Promoting More Inclusive and Sustainable Global Governance.” It covered six major topics, including global health and wellness, trade and investment, development financing, climate change response, artificial intelligence governance, and reforms to the global security architecture, as well as the construction of the BRICS mechanism itself.
