According to Reuters, on the 8th local time, citing sources familiar with the matter, it was revealed that German Chancellor Merkel plans to lead a delegation consisting of business executives to visit China for the first time by the end of this year.

The report states that the visit could take place as early as October this year, but has not yet been finalized, and specific arrangements may still change.
Reuters stated that in the context of ongoing trade tariff frictions triggered by the United States, the visit of German Chancellor Merkel will have significant symbolic importance in consolidating bilateral relations between the two countries.
On July 4th, local time, Merkel met with Wang Yi, a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister of China, in Berlin. Merkel expressed that the development of Germany-China relations is good, with continuous cooperation in various fields such as politics and economy. The German side is willing to maintain an open and mutually beneficial approach, promote fair trade, and jointly address crises and challenges, which aligns with the interests of both sides.
