Lacey Lemmon, 106 years old from Elsley in Buckinghamshire, UK, celebrated her birthday recently and generously shared her secret to longevity – eating a dessert every day, especially her favorite frozen cream pudding.
This great-great-grandfather, who has eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, stated, “The secret to longevity is frozen cream. I eat it every day, preferring cold dishes, which pairs well with sandwiches or fruit.”
Born on July 1, 1919, Lemmon served during World War II from 1939 to 1946. After retiring at the age of 60 in 1979, he has enjoyed his retirement life for 46 years.
Surprisingly, this centenarian remains robust, claiming to “have no illnesses, no medication, and no doctor visits.” Besides his favorite pudding, he also enjoys fried fish and chips.
His son Richard (73) recalled, “From childhood to adulthood, Dad always had pudding after meals, and cream pudding was never missing.”
Regarding advice for longevity, Lemmon joked, “Everything is just about moderation. I’m lucky and happy.” His only failing is not being able to use video calls. However, for him, having a bowl of cream pudding every day is perfect.
