It has been learned that the Israeli negotiating team in Doha, the capital of Qatar, submitted a new plan for Israel’s redeployment to Gaza to the facilitators on the same day.
An Arab country’s diplomatic official stated that the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) rejected the previously established redeployment plan for Gaza, which is also one of the main disagreements between Israel and Hamas during negotiations. A Qatari delegation conveyed to the US side in Washington, USA, on the 8th, through a meeting with the US Middle East envoy, Vitek, the position of Hamas demanding an Israeli complete withdrawal. Following this, Israel submitted a new proposal. The new plan shows that the scope of the planned 60-day ceasefire in Gaza has been expanded compared to the previous one. This official also noted that the new proposal has facilitated progress in negotiations, but there are still significant differences between the two sides.
On the 6th, Israel and Hamas commenced a new round of indirect negotiations in Doha regarding the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the exchange of detainees. (CCTV Zhao Fangyuan)
