Furthermore, Lavrov revealed that he had forwarded excerpts from Ukrainian officials such as Zelensky regarding the necessity to “destroy Russia.” He also mentioned that discussions between the two did not include the provision of offensive weapons to Ukraine or the third phase of the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty.
Previously, Blinken claimed that the US discussed new proposals for mediating the conflict in Ukraine during its meeting with Russian representatives, which had not been disclosed previously.
Lavrov also stated that regarding the situation on the Korean Peninsula, it is imperative to avoid any provocative actions. Regrettably, provocations against North Korea continue, including through strengthening military alliances between the United States, South Korea, and Japan. These countries are conducting increasingly large-scale military exercises, even involving nuclear elements, which undoubtedly pose a serious risk of conflict. Russia will fully uphold the legitimate rights and interests of its allies in North Korea and prevent provocative actions that could lead to catastrophic consequences. (CCTV Cheng Mo)
