NBA Summer League: The Bucks Host the Nuggets at Home
On July 11th, during the NBA Summer League, the Bucks faced off against the Nuggets. In the draft, the Bucks primarily selected 47th pick, Markovic.
The game started slowly for both teams, but they gradually found their rhythm and began to shoot from outside. Ryan hit three consecutive three-pointers to give the Bucks a one-point lead in the first quarter. The second quarter saw both teams continue to trade blows, with the Nuggets briefly taking the lead before the Bucks responded with high-difficulty three-pointers, leading by nine points at halftime. In the second half, the Nuggets launched an 11-1 scoring run to take the lead again, but the Bucks managed to hold on with consecutive three-pointers from Russ and Chris Leeston, maintaining their advantage. However, the Nuggets fought back to tie the score in the third quarter. In the final quarter, the Nuggets took control of the game, with Harrison hitting two consecutive layups. Following that, the Nuggets maintained a two-point lead throughout the game. But after Bue’s three-pointer, Ryan scored on a layup, and then Leeston continued to keep the Nuggets ahead by hitting a putback. After Bue’s buzzer-beating three-pointer, the Bucks narrowly won 90-89.
