The Israeli Times quoted a Palestinian source saying that Israel submitted a deployment plan to the relevant mediators during this round of negotiations, indicating that the Israeli army would continue to be stationed in various areas of the Gaza Strip, especially in the “Moraw corridor” located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. Following pressure from the United States and others, Israel once again submitted a revised deployment plan.
However, according to media disclosures, under the new plan, even if a 60-day ceasefire is achieved, the Israeli army will still control about one-third of the Gaza Strip, which has led to dissatisfaction among Hamas.
In April, the Israeli army occupied the “Moraw corridor” and expanded it. Now, the “Moraw corridor” stretches approximately 12 kilometers long and one kilometer wide, extending from the border between Israel and the Gaza Strip to the Mediterranean coast, cutting through east and west, separating Rafah City at the southernmost end of the Gaza Strip from other areas of the Gaza Strip.
