According to a report by the Associated Press on the 13th, due to the new round of heavy rainfall causing Guadalupe River water levels to rise again, search and rescue operations in the disaster-stricken area of Kerville, Texas, were forced to pause. Local fire departments have asked all rescue personnel to temporarily withdraw from the dangerous areas. The comprehensive search and rescue operation is expected to continue early on July 15.
On July 4th, a sudden downpour occurred along the Guadalupe River in Texas, leading to a flood disaster. Subsequently, multiple rounds of heavy rainfall expanded the affected area, resulting in at least 129 deaths. Officials speculate that there are still over 160 people missing in Kerville County alone, with about 10 individuals unaccounted for in nearby areas.
