On July 13th, local time, just over a week after the floods swept through the Texas Hill Country, parts of central Texas were hit by torrential rain, flooding, and rapid rise in river levels due to thunderstorm weather. The region is likely facing another flood disaster.
It has been reported that a flash flood emergency was declared in southeastern San Saba County. Within six hours, the area saw rainfall reaching between 15 to 20 centimeters. Due to the heavy rain, some areas of San Saba County have been issued mandatory evacuation orders.
According to the National Weather Service in Texas, floodwaters on Interstate 10 in Sutton caused vehicles to become disabled. Flood waters are approaching some homes, with the water level expected to exceed 944.88 centimeters near San Saba. (Liu Xu)
