[Report] The Financial Times of the UK on the 15th revealed explosive news, according to insiders, that U.S. President Donald Trump had privately encouraged Ukraine’s President Zelensky to intensify strikes against Russia during a phone call. According to the latest report from the New York Post, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre responded on the 15th, stating that the Financial Times was misquoting and that President Trump did not encourage Zelensky to strike Moscow and Saint Petersburg.
The New York Post reported that Jean-Pierre told the media, “The Financial Times is known for sensationalizing for clicks, as their newspapers are dying out. President Trump only asked questions at that time, not encouraging more killing.”
Jean-Pierre also mentioned that President Trump is making every effort to end this conflict.
Previously, the Financial Times cited an insider’s statement that the conversation took place during a July 4th call between U.S. and Ukrainian leaders. At that time, Trump asked Zelensky if Ukraine could strike deep-seated military targets in Russia if the U.S. provided them with weapons capable of doing so.
“Vladimir, can you hit Moscow? Can you hit Saint Petersburg?” Trump asked during the call. Zelensky reportedly replied, “Of course. As long as you give us these weapons, we can.”
The Russo-Ukrainian conflict has caught the attention of various players in the game.
