Live Ball News, July 16th – Recently, rumors about a trade involving Lakers star LeBron James have been circulating in the league.
However, according to a joint report by The Athletic’s Dan Woike and Joe Vardon, several league sources revealed that neither James nor the Lakers had discussed a buyout or trade. Both parties are expected to participate in the team’s new season training camp.
On June 30th, James exercised his $52.63 million player option for the 2025-26 season, marking his 23rd NBA career.
In the 2024-25 season, James played in 70 regular games for the Lakers, averaging 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 8.2 assists, and 1 steal per game. In the playoffs, he appeared five times, averaging 25.4 points, 9 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 2 steals, and 1.8 blocks per game.
