The U.S. Capitol Police issued a statement on the morning of the 16th local time, stating that they had apprehended a man in possession of firearms and bows and arrows inside a vehicle in Washington D.C., and are currently awaiting charges to be filed.
The statement indicated that “officers on duty discovered a suspicious vehicle, which upon close inspection revealed an obvious presence of bows and arrows and empty gun cases within.” The suspect also admitted during interrogation that “besides bows and arrows, there were also firearms concealed inside the vehicle.”
