△Kuwaiti Media Announces the Attack on Duhok Oil Field
On the 16th local time, the counter-terrorism department of the Kurdistan region (Kuwaiti Area) in Iraq reported that a U.S.-operated oil field in Duhok Province was twice attacked by drones loaded with explosives. The attacks resulted in some material damage but no casualties.
It is noted that similar drone attacks occurred at other oil fields within Duhok Province on the same day. This marks the third consecutive day that energy facilities in the Kuwaiti area have been targeted by such attacks. The Kuwaiti government has called for urgent measures from the Iraqi central government to prevent further escalation of the attacks and to investigate the responsible parties.
No organization has claimed responsibility for the attack on the day.
