“Russia Today” TV station and “The Newspaper” among other Russian media exposed a video on the 17th local time, claiming that a Russian soldier captured an unmanned Ukrainian FPV drone from the first-person perspective (FPV) using his bare hands and destroyed it.
The video released by RT shows the soldier hitting the drone with a tree.
According to reports, the incident took place in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine, where a Ukrainian drone attacked an enemy position. The footage showed the drone sneaking up on a bunker covered with branches. Shortly after, a Russian soldier hiding under the bunker emerged holding the drone, repeatedly striking it against trees to damage its rotors, rendering it inoperable. The drone was then thrown into a crater before returning to its original position.
The report mentions that in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, both sides increasingly use various types of FPV drones, which have become one of the most important low-cost short-range weapons for both sides. These drones are widely used to strike various facilities, armored vehicles, and defensive positions, as well as to track down individual soldiers.
