The military operations in the Gaza Strip by Israel have escalated. Recently, a reporter from the main station visited a tent camp that was attacked to the west of Gaza City, facing the camera, several displaced individuals expressed:
Israel’s military attempts to drive out Palestinians from the Gaza Strip through military actions.
Reporter Osama:
The Israeli army is exerting pressure on civilians in the Gaza Strip, forcing them to migrate southward in order to promote its plan to establish a so-called “humane city” in Rafah. These tents are located in the western part of Gaza City, and they were attacked here on the night of the 15th, which is a microcosm of daily hardships in the Gaza Strip.
The ground littered with debris and damaged household items silently narrates the fierce attacks that once took place at this tent camp. On the night of the 15th, four missiles were fired at this location by the Israeli army, resulting in seven civilian deaths. Mohammed Hassan lives near this tent. He said he and his six children had been ordered to withdraw to the west of Gaza City according to the Israeli army’s demands, hoping to find a safe place, but instead, they faced continuous airstrikes from the Israeli military.
Displaced individual Mohammed Hassan:
We have been forced to flee again. We had stayed here for twenty days, witnessing about six or seven attacks, all close to me.
On July 7th this month, Defense Minister Katz proposed the plan to establish a so-called “humane city” in the southern part of Gaza Strip, initially housing 600,000 Palestinians designated by the Israeli side last year in the Mawas area near Hanyounis city in Rafah, eventually aiming to accommodate all residents of the Gaza Strip, with no entry and exit. The people living in the midst of war believe that behind this plan lies the real intention of Israel to expel Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
Displaced individual Amir Halu:
Israel wants to push everyone to Rafah and then expel all residents from there.
Displaced individual Bassam Nasser:
The so-called “humane city” by the Israeli army is not humane at all. Look at this; people are dying of hunger. When we go out to seek food, we are bombed.
