On July 18th, local time, it was learned that the U.S. Department of State has issued new directives,
which will significantly reduce public commentary on foreign elections in the future,
except when involving “clear and significant” U.S. diplomatic interests.
It is reported that this policy was issued by Secretary of State Antony Blinken and has been communicated to U.S. embassies and consulates abroad. (Liu Xu)
