According to the Indonesian North Sumatra Provincial Search and Rescue Office, a passenger ship caught fire in the province’s waters today (July 20th). The scene showed the vessel engulfed in flames, with many passengers wearing life jackets floating on the sea. As of now, three people have died and nearly 150 people have been rescued. It is reported that the fire broke out around 13:00 local time, carrying about 280 people on board at the time. The local government has dispatched multiple vessels for search and rescue operations.
