According to a report by Xinhua News Agency, citing the “Reference News” publication, veteran investigative journalist Smoot Hsheh announced on his “Subscription Stack” website blog that the United States is discussing a coercive regime change in Ukraine.
Hsheh’s revelation came amidst headline-grabbing news about the “Nord Stream” explosion suspects. Now, with such an outspoken statement from Hsheh, how credible is it? Many believe in his words!
Hsheh mentioned that a Washington official told him, “If President Trump decides to make good on his threats, Ukrainian President Zelensky will be listed as a fugitive.”
Hsheh even stated that if Zelensky refuses to leave, the Trump administration would force him to depart through military means!
This raises questions about who controls the armed forces of Ukraine. If it were Zelensky or the elected government, would Ukraine resist Russia just like it did against America when the US was preparing to deport its leaders? What would happen if they fought back?
However, Hsheh repeatedly emphasized that if Trump decides to deport Zelensky, then Zelensky cannot resist. Any resistance would inevitably involve military action!
As for the current situation, it’s well known that the US military has not directly intervened in the crisis in Ukraine. So, does this mean that the Ukrainian military doesn’t listen to Zelensky but instead follows orders from the US and Trump?
Has Hsheh revealed something shocking?
Hsheh also mentioned that the current British Ambassador and former Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Zalubnya, is seen as the most likely successor to replace Zelensky, with such a power shift possibly occurring within months.
Smiley wants to say that Zalubnya is not an unknown figure. Currently, he holds the position of Ambassador to the UK for Ukraine. This means that after having clashed with Zelensky, Zelensky had no choice but to send him away, rather than truly taking him down.

Before the broadcast, Zaludny served as the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is also the position he was most familiar with at that time.
To some extent, Zaludny and Zelensky are not to be pitied against each other!
Behind them, there were different Western powers supporting them. This point is indisputable.
In February 2024, when Zaludny (left) publicly questioned President Zelensky’s order to “mobilize 500,000 new soldiers,” Zelensky urgently signed an order to dismiss him from his position as the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the dead of night.
Of course, for Zelensky, it seemed that he was supported by then-President Biden, but in reality, it might not have been so. During Biden’s tenure, he might have just used Zelensky as a tool. After all, he did not fully commit to supporting him in military actions against Russia. For instance, military aid could not be used to attack Russian territory, nor could offensive weapons be provided to Ukraine. Such actions demonstrated not only his role in fanning the flames but also his playful handling of the situation, neither wanting to let the fire burn too fiercely nor to extinguish it completely.
Anyway, Biden wanted to control the intensity of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, hoping that this conflict would benefit both the United States and NATO without affecting their own interests.
However, it is clear that after Biden left office, Trump has become increasingly impatient with Zelensky now.
From meeting Zelensky at Trump Tower in New York before he even became President;
Towards the end of his term, when he met with Zelensky, and if they had a disagreement, he would immediately expel him from the White House, leaving no lunch for him;
Towards the papal funeral where they talked closely;
Until the NATO summit seemed to be going well.
But overall, isn’t it true that Trump is leading the exchanges between the US and Ukraine?
During the NATO summit held in the Netherlands this year, Trump (right 1) met with Zelensky (right 2) and his delegation.
It seems that Zelensky was very humble:
Since the US side found it impolite to meet him without a suit on, why not wear one and meet again?

In the midst of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Zelenskyy’s ability to achieve this is quite remarkable.
Currently, it appears that Russia has claimed that it is ready to hold its third round of negotiations with Ukraine within the year. According to the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, Russia’s delegation is willing to travel to Istanbul, Turkey, as long as Ukraine also wishes for the continuation of the talks.
However, what we see is that the United States, particularly Trump, might have changed his plans!
From his first term as President, he confidently declared that if he were to return to the White House, he would “end the Russia-Ukraine conflict within hours.” Later, he joked about this statement being “just a joke.” Now, Trump has once again stated that there has been a change in his relationship with Russian President Putin, criticizing him in turn.
But this does not mean that Trump has turned his support towards Zelenskyy! On the contrary, it is not so!
Even though the United States has begun to resupply Ukraine with military aid, they clearly do not want to give Zelenskyy any assistance!
Moreover, one should also note the changing attitudes within NATO and Europe.
France, which was previously quite supportive of Ukraine, has recently taken the lead in stating that it is no longer willing to provide Ukraine with free aid. Clearly, France’s stance seems to be deliberately antithetical to the United States!
Italy is also unwilling to support Ukraine.
If this continues, the Western aid to Ukraine will inevitably undergo significant changes.
What is evident is that currently, there are many in Ukraine who oppose Zelenskyy.
On the same day, Zelenskyy announced his intention to appoint Yulia Svirynskaya as Prime Minister, replacing the current Prime Minister Dmytro Shmyhal as Defense Minister. This indicates a major reorganization of the government. It seems that he is dissatisfied with the cabinet.
On the same day, during a parliamentary plenary session, Zelenskyy clashed with Ukrainian MP Konstantin Goncharenko over the issue of demobilization.

On the same day, Goncharenko inquired whether military personnel would be demobilized. Zelensky stated that Ukrainian soldiers could only return home after defeating their enemies.
Goncharenko described this statement as “disgraceful” and “lacking conscience.” In response, Zelensky countered, stating that they deserve rotation only when there is support from people like you on the front lines.
It seems Trump has also seen this. He might think that Ukrainians are not so dependent on Zelensky. And naturally, no one cares who becomes the president of Ukraine. As long as they are obedient and submissive, it doesn’t matter who becomes the president for America.
Of course, this is a clear sign of the United States’ complete disrespect for Ukraine’s sovereignty!
So what about “exiling Zelensky?” Where could he go?
Anyway, I’m curious to know where former Afghan President Ghani went after the US military withdrew from Afghanistan. Since then, he has also fled Afghanistan without any news.
In today’s world, self-imposed exile and exile are something that some need to consider—
At present, it seems Russia and Ukraine have not immediately planned to cease hostilities.
