The report mentioned that shortly after the AI315 flight from Hong Kong, China, to New Delhi, India, landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, the auxiliary power unit suddenly caught fire. At that time, passengers were preparing to disembark, and the auxiliary power unit automatically shut down according to system design.
A spokesperson for India Airlines stated that the company has grounded the aircraft for further investigation and promptly notified regulatory authorities.
