On July 21, local time, the French-based social worker organization, SOS France, issued a statement,
claiming that its last batch of locals in the Gaza Strip is facing the danger of starvation.
The statement mentioned that currently, there are ten local correspondents in Gaza who are maintaining frontline reporting. Due to ongoing blockades, they “are almost out of food and water,” with some family members even dying from hunger.
The organization pointed out that although SOS France still pays salaries monthly, due to the paralysis of the Gaza financial system, cash cannot be withdrawn for purchasing food and medicine. The organization calls for urgent interventions from all parties to prevent the tragedy of job loss due to hunger. (CCTV Zhu Xuesong)
