Due to the implementation of air traffic control measures at major airports in Moscow and Pulkovo Airport in Saint Petersburg, 118 flights were canceled and 203 delayed. By the evening, all airports except for Kaluga Airport in Russia were operating normally.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported on the 21st that since 21:00 local time on the 20th, Russian forces fired 426 drones and 24 missiles, including “Kinzhal” hypersonic missiles and cruise missiles. This was the largest scale of airstrike by Russian forces against Ukraine in nearly a week.
By 9:30 local time on the 21st, the Ukrainian air defense forces intercepted 200 drones and most of the missiles. Under the suppression of Ukrainian electronic warfare equipment, 203 drones did not hit their targets. Three locations in Ukraine were attacked by 23 drones, and 12 locations were hit by explosion fragments from intercepted drones or missiles.
The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has attracted multilateral competition.
