American IT mogul and former CEO of Astronomer Software, Andy Byron, has been embroiled in a viral video capturing him hugging his company’s HR head, Kristine Kabert, at a concert. The video’s creator, a student from New Jersey, named Gretchen Springer, has now been revealed.
The video has reached an astonishing 120 million views, with the number continuing to rise.
Diane David, a brand strategy consultant and founder of The Social Inc, estimates that if she were to obtain permission for the video through media organizations or content platforms, she could earn approximately $100,000.
Springer stated that she did not earn any money from the video; she had not registered on the TikTok creator fund before uploading it, only registered users can monetize their content on the platform.
However, Springer was exposed to have requested her new followers to tip her to help repay her student loan debt.
According to previous media reports, during a Coldplay concert in Boston, the intimate act captured by “Kiss Cam” (a camera that captures kisses) quickly went viral on social media.
Axios News Network in the United States reported on the 18th local time, citing sources, that both individuals involved have been suspended from their positions and are under investigation.
Byron is expected to pay between $30 million to $35 million in “divorce settlement fees” in his divorce case, based on an estimate of his approximate net worth. Considering Byron is the “wrongdoer” in the affair and having two sons with his wife Meghan, the cost he may have to pay could be even higher.
