It has been reported that Ukraine has held a meeting to prepare for the upcoming negotiations with Russia. Ukrainian President Zelensky has instructed the formation of a delegation to negotiate with Russia.

The delegation will be led by Umerov, Secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council, and include representatives from Ukrainian intelligence agencies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the President’s Office.

On the 22nd, Zelensky stated that Umerov reported on the implementation of the agreement reached during the second meeting with Russia in Istanbul, as well as the relevant agreements for the upcoming new round of meetings. The Chief of the Ukrainian President’s Office, Yermak, also reported on the progress of coordinating diplomatic efforts with European and American partners.

Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine will make every effort to secure the release of prisoners and children, stop the killing, and is willing to have a leader-level meeting to truly end this war.

The third round of direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine will be held this week in Istanbul, Turkey, but there are differences in the timing reported by various sources, and no official announcement has yet been made by Russia. (Source: CCTV, Dong Wei)
