German Defense Minister Pistorius stated on the 22nd that Germany could deliver two sets of “Patriot” air defense systems to Ukraine from its existing equipment, provided that reliable assurances are in place. This means that the reserves of Germany’s “Patriot” air defense systems can be replenished within six to eight months to ensure that the readiness and training capabilities of the German Federal Armed Forces are not compromised.
Pistorius also mentioned that Germany is in consultation with some European countries to determine which countries can provide the “Patriot” system. Germany has committed to covering the costs for two sets of “Patriot” air defense systems.
