On July 23rd, the Indian Embassy in China posted on Weibo stating that starting from July 24th, 2025, Chinese citizens can apply for a tourist visa to visit India. This marks the first time since the suspension in 2020 that India has resumed issuing tourist visas to Chinese citizens after five years.
Previously, there were restrictions on business visas for Chinese citizens to travel to India, but these have recently been somewhat relaxed.
