On the 22nd local time, it was learned that a new round of ceasefire negotiations in Gaza, which are currently taking place in Doha, the capital of Qatar, have made “significant progress.”
According to an Israeli public broadcasting company citing sources, relevant parties are currently focusing on discussing the scale of deployment and military positions of the Israeli army in areas such as the “Philadelphia Corridor” and “Morag Corridor” in southern Gaza. Due to Israel’s flexibility in this matter, significant progress has been made in the negotiations. The source revealed that there is hope for an agreement.
Previously, Israeli media disclosed that according to the latest Israeli withdrawal plan submitted to the mediators, Israel will massively withdraw from areas including the “Morag Corridor,” making adjustments to its military deployment elsewhere, and has made certain concessions compared to previous withdrawal plans.
Since June, Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) have engaged in a new round of indirect negotiations in Doha regarding ceasefires and the exchange of detainees in the Gaza Strip. (Reported by Zhao Fangyuan)
