On July 23, local time, Yermak, the Office Director of the President of Ukraine, announced on social media that a delegation from Ukraine, led by Umanov, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, had arrived in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, and had met with Turkish President Erdogan.
Ukraine expressed its heartfelt gratitude for the continued support from Turkey and its President Erdogan in political and security matters, as well as for Turkey’s willingness to provide a negotiation platform and promote diplomatic efforts towards achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine. During the talks, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on the current security situation, challenges facing regional stability, and the potential for deepening cooperation in the defense sector between the two countries in the future. Umanov particularly highlighted that Ukraine highly appreciates Turkey and its people’s firm stance.
Additionally, the Ukrainian delegation held separate meetings with Turkish Presidential Advisor Kilic and Foreign Minister Fethiye Fehmi on the same day. Ukraine stated that these meetings were constructive and expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of these exchanges. (News)
