On July 23, local time, President Trump of the United States posted on his social media platform that Japan has agreed to purchase billions of dollars worth of military and other equipment from the United States. Additionally, it will return 90% of the profits from a total investment of $550 billion back to the United States.
Trump also revealed that Japan is opening its market to the United States for the first time, covering automobiles, sport utility vehicles (SUV), trucks, as well as previously excluded sectors such as agricultural products and rice. (Liu Xu)
