Japanese authorities have issued “heatstroke alerts” across various regions, urging the Chinese Embassy in Japan to remind travelers to be cautious about their travel safety.

According to the WeChat public account of the Chinese Embassy in Japan, recently, over 100 observation points in Japan have recorded temperatures above 35°C, and many areas have air humidity exceeding 65%, making it difficult for sweat to evaporate, thereby further exacerbating the risk of heatstroke. The Meteorological Agency and the Ministry of the Environment have issued “Heatstroke Alerts” warning the public to avoid going out during high-temperature weather.
In light of this, the Chinese Embassy in Japan reminds all compatriots and visitors:
1. Arrange your travel plans reasonably. Pay attention to weather forecasts, and if possible, avoid going out during high-temperature periods. Timely open air conditioning indoors or seek refuge in places equipped with air conditioning to cool off. Do not set indoor air conditioners too low; pay attention to temperature differences when entering and exiting to prevent catching a cold or “air conditioning disease.”
2. If you must go out, ensure proper heatstroke prevention measures. Avoid going out during the hottest part of the day, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, and replenish fluids and electrolytes promptly. Wear loose, breathable clothing, carry common heatstroke remedies such as Huoxiang Zhengqi Water and Cool Oil, and use sun umbrellas and hats.
3. If you experience mild heatstroke symptoms like dizziness, nausea, sweating, tinnitus, flushed face, etc., immediately leave the high-temperature environment to a cooler and ventilated place, take cooling measures, and seek medical attention if symptoms are severe.
