On the 23rd, the United Nations Security Council held an open debate on Middle East issues. The permanent observer of Palestine to the United Nations, Mansour, in his speech, condemned Israel for destroying everything in the Gaza Strip, describing the humanitarian disaster there as “predictable, premeditated, and planned.”
Mansour, Permanent Observer of Palestine to the United Nations:
Palestinians have died from hunger and thirst, or been killed while desperately searching for food and water, all of which are part of a plan by Israel. People are being forced to flee the streets when they are forcibly evicted, another part of a plan by Israel. We call on countries willing to act to form an alliance and take all necessary actions immediately to end genocide, uphold international law, save the survivors beneath the rubble, and end occupation and conflict.
