According to previous reports, the Suns have claimed former Lakers guard Jordan Goodwin in the free agency.
Lakers’ Trevor Lane wrote: “It was completely unexpected that Goodwin was claimed, especially considering the Suns’ needs at this position.” Wishing him all the best.
Goodwin had been cut by the Lakers to make room for Marcus Smart and other salary cap considerations. Last season, Goodwin played 29 games for the Lakers, averaging 5.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game, with a three-point shooting percentage of 38.2%.
The Suns will need to pay the remaining guarantee salary (25,000 USD) for Goodwin, while the remaining one-year contract he had with the Lakers will be fully transferred to the Suns.
