Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health: 14 Thais killed, 46 injured in border conflict with Cambodia (Xinhua News Agency)
Vallak Chobpitayasom, Deputy Spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Health, stated on social media on the evening of the 24th that, as of 21:00 local time on the 24th, the border conflict between Thailand and Cambodia had resulted in the deaths of 13 civilians and 1 soldier from Thailand, along with 46 injuries.
As of the evening of the same day, Cambodia did not release any information regarding its casualties.
A conflict erupted between Cambodia and Thailand at the border area on the same day, followed by mutual accusations of each other’s violations of international law. The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Mak Nai, called for an urgent meeting of the United Nations Security Council on this matter.
