[Report] According to the “Business Insider” website in the United States, President Donald Trump stated on the 24th that everyone was saying he would cancel billionaire Elon Musk’s substantial subsidies from the U.S. government, thereby destroying his company, but this is not the case. He hopes Musk and all American businesses can thrive. On the same day, Musk refuted Trump’s claims by posting on social media platform X, stating that these subsidies do not exist.
“The ‘subsidies’ he mentioned are nonexistent,” Musk said on the same day on social media platform X. The Trump administration has abolished or set deadlines for all clean energy incentive policies, yet it retains substantial oil and natural gas subsidies.
Musk also mentioned that SpaceX, under his ownership, won federal contracts based on strength, “SpaceX can do better with less money, which is why it won NASA contracts. If these contracts were transferred to other aerospace companies, it would not only put astronauts in difficulty but also double the taxpayers’ burden.”
As of now, the White House, SpaceX, and Tesla have not responded to this matter.
Musk once fully supported Trump in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, but there has been a serious disagreement between them recently over issues such as the “Bigger is Better” tax and spending bill, leading to a “tons of words” war. Musk has repeatedly criticized the bill. In contrast, Trump stated that Musk attacked the “Bigger is Better” bill because it eliminated subsidies for new energy vehicles. According to previous reports by American media, this could have a significant impact on Tesla.
