【Report】According to “European News Network” and the Ukrainian National News Agency (UNN), several foreign media outlets disclosed on the 25th that Ramzan Kadyrov, the leader of the Chechen region in Russia, suffered a sudden drowning incident while on holiday at a Turkish seaside resort. He was immediately rescued and taken to the hospital without life-threatening conditions.
“European News Network” quoted Turkish media reports stating that the incident occurred at the port city of Bodrum in Turkey. At noon local time on the 24th, Kadyrov went for a swim and experienced symptoms of drowning, suddenly losing consciousness and sinking into the water.
The report mentioned that officers nearby noticed his unusual behavior and immediately called for emergency services. The Turkish Coast Guard and hotel staff quickly pulled Kadyrov out of the water, where emergency medical personnel provided immediate treatment on site before transferring him to a local private hospital by ambulance.
“European News Network” stated that after medical assessments and observations, Kadyrov was found not to be in life-threatening condition and his condition is stable.
The Chechen side has yet to make a statement regarding this incident.
