Cailian Press, July 26 – The three major U.S. stock indexes closed higher, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up by 0.47%, a week-to-date increase of 1.26%; the Nasdaq Composite rose by 0.24%, with a week-to-date gain of 1.02%; and the S&P 500 Index increased by 0.4%, marking a week-to-date rise of 1.46%. Popular technology stocks saw most gains, with Tesla surging over 3%, while Microsoft, Google, and Broadcom underperformed by less than 1%, and Intel fell more than 8%. Automotive manufacturing and space concept stocks led the gains, with General Motors rising by more than 2%, and Ford Motor and Rivian surging by more than 1%. Meanwhile, sectors such as coal, metal raw materials, and semiconductors were among the biggest losers, with Caesar Alcoa dropping more than 5%, and ASML down nearly 2%.
