[Report] According to the “Beast Daily” in the United States on the 26th, US President Donald Trump recently shared a meme on social media featuring a parody of former President Barack Obama driving a white Ford Mustang during his escape from the murder case in 1994. Trump himself and Vice President Mike Pence played the role of police officers chasing after Obama.
The report mentioned that Trump posted this meme on Instagram and its own social media platform. The image was modified to include Pence’s character, which originated from a meme trend popular on social media several months ago.
The White House did not immediately respond to an inquiry about Trump’s actions.
The “Beast Daily” reported that Trump’s move seemed to echo a statement made by National Intelligence Director Tulsidaq Gabbard last week. Gabbard had previously accused some officials from the Obama administration of submitting them to the Department of Justice for prosecution over allegations of “conspiracy treason” in handling the Russian interference in the 2016 US election.
Trump himself took to social media on July 19 and 20, directly naming Obama as “traitor,” accusing him of “abuse of power to manipulate intelligence systems, harming the foundation of American democracy,” demanding a thorough investigation. The Obama camp responded by calling the accusations “absurd and without factual basis,” labeling it “a blatant political manipulation,” emphasizing that the conclusions of the “Russiagate” investigation have been confirmed by cross-party parties, criticizing Trump for creating “false narratives” for election interests.
Analysts suggest that Trump’s move may be a means of diverting domestic policy debates. Recently, Trump has been under constant public pressure due to tariff policies, spending cuts, and the Epstein scandal, making high-profile accusations against Obama that could create new issues while distracting from the public.
It was reported that the incident occurred in June 1994 when Simpson was being pursued by Los Angeles police for allegedly murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. Simpson himself attempted to avoid arrest. As a result, police conducted a globally watched chase across Southern California highways for several hours. Simpson’s friend Al Cowlings drove the vehicle, while Simpson sat in the back. The television broadcast of the chase reportedly attracted around 100 million viewers. In the end, Simpson surrendered to the police. In 1995, Simpson was acquitted of all charges due to insufficient evidence, causing widespread outrage among the public.
