On July 29th local time, it was learned that a Boeing 777 aircraft from Istanbul to Antalya experienced an emergency landing at the Antalya Airport due to a hydraulic system failure. Upon landing, smoke emerged from the landing gear, prompting the crew to quickly activate the slides to organize the evacuation of passengers. All passengers were safe and no casualties occurred.
Ustun, the Communications Director for Turkish Airlines, reported that the flight numbered TK2430 experienced smoke coming from its landing gear during its normal takeoff and while taxiing. Firefighters were promptly dispatched to the scene. To prevent any risks, the crew initiated an emergency evacuation procedure following recommendations, with passengers evacuating through the slides in an orderly manner. Preliminary inspections revealed that the smoke originated from a technical fault in the hydraulic pipeline. Currently, the aircraft has undergone a comprehensive examination by the technical team, and alternative flights will be arranged for the return journey. (CCTV Chen Huihui)
