On July 30th, local time, due to a strong earthquake in the far eastern coast of Kamchatka, the National Emergency Management Agency of New Zealand issued a tsunami warning for all coastal areas across the country. It is expected that strong and unpredictable ocean currents and waves will occur along all New Zealand’s coastal regions. The agency has advised the public to stay away from beaches, ports, and river mouths.
