According to the Royal Thai Army, on the night of July 29th local time, Cambodia once again violated the ceasefire agreement by launching an attack against Thailand.
Cambodia has yet to respond to this incident.
The conflict between Cambodia and Thailand began in the border area on July 24th, with both sides accusing each other of violating international law. Under the chairmanship of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar, talks were held between Cambodia and Thailand on the 28th, agreeing to “immediately and unconditionally” cease fire starting from midnight that day, ending the border conflict that had lasted for several days. The Royal Thai Army and the Cambodian Ministry of Defense confirmed on the 29th that their military commanders had held talks in the border area to implement the ceasefire agreement. Both countries also agreed to have a joint committee meeting at the Cambodian side on August 4th. (Reporter: Xue Jing)
