In response to President Trump of the United States threatening new sanctions against Russia, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov stated on July 30th local time that
The Russian economy has developed a “resistance” to sanctions over the years.
Peskov said: “We have been living under numerous sanctions for a long time, and the Russian economy operates under significant restrictions. We have developed some immunity to sanctions.”
On July 29th, US President Donald Trump set the deadline for Russia to reach a peace agreement with Ukraine at 10 days, starting from that day. If Russia does not make progress on this matter, it will face new sanctions by the United States.
