Chosun Ilbo: The US-Japan military alliance gradually transforms into a “nuclear alliance,” its dangers are not to be underestimated.

On August 1, the Korean Central News Agency published an article by an international affairs commentator titled “The US-Japan Military Alliance Relationship is Transforming into a ‘Nuclear Alliance’, Its Dangers Must Not Be Ignoring.”
The article stated that foreign media recently revealed that Japan and the United States have been secretly planning to provide “extended nuclear deterrence”. They are devising specific strategic and tactical plans for the use of U.S. nuclear weapons during wars in East Asia, which have been repeatedly approved.
If Japan and the United States engage in in-depth discussions on the actual use of nuclear weapons and openly discuss related issues, this signifies that the US-Japan military alliance is transforming into a dangerous “nuclear alliance”.
The article expressed that in response to the escalating nuclear military alliance expansion conspiracy of hostile countries, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea needs to strengthen its self-defense defense forces to ensure regional power balance and maintain national sovereignty.
