On August 2nd, local time, the Israel Defense Forces issued a statement stating that on July 24th, during an operation, the IDF killed Sheikh Radwan bin Ziyad al-Qassam Brigade Deputy Commander Salah al-Din Za’atari.
The IDF stated that this individual had previously been responsible for commanding and planning numerous attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF forces, and had served as the commander of the Qassam Brigade’s combat support company.
The Hamas side has yet to respond to this.
Furthermore, the statement also mentioned that the IDF is currently continuing its military operations in Gaza, having destroyed infrastructure belonging to several Palestinian armed groups and killing several Palestinian militants. The statement noted that on August 1st and 2nd, the IDF targeted over 130 targets belonging to the Palestinian armed organizations. (CCTV Wang Yin)
