The latest news reveals that Apple may have accidentally leaked information about several upcoming devices, including the iPad and the Vision Pro, which are of great interest to investors and users.
It is reported that the leak was discovered on Wednesday local time, when Apple inadvertently provided hardware identifiers for several unreleased products in its software code—a task that seasoned Apple leakers find relatively straightforward.
Firstly, it was confirmed that the upgraded version of the Vision Pro will use the M5 chip, as revealed by renowned analyst Guo Mingxiao. He had previously disagreed with another leaker, Mark Guoman, who believed the upgraded headset would use the same M4 chip as the iPad Pro and MacBook Air.
The upgraded headset, aside from the chip, does not feature significant upgrades and is expected to be released by the end of 2025—at least after the M5 chip’s launch.
Similarly, two iPad models were also leaked. The anticipated 12th-generation entry-level iPad, set to be released in early 2023, will use the A18 chip from the iPhone 16. This chip features a 16-core neural engine, enabling this entry-level device to support “Apple Intelligence.” The current 11th-generation iPad was released in March 2024, using the A16 chip first introduced on the iPhone 14 Pro.
Another product, much favored by users, is expected to come equipped with the A19 Pro chip planned for the iPhone 17 Pro by Apple.

It is reported that the A19 Pro will have more GPU cores than the standard A19, with rumors suggesting a version in between—the A19 Pro with one less GPU core, which could be used for the iPhone 17 Air. The current seventh-generation iPad mini uses the A17 Pro chip from the iPhone 15 Pro model, so it makes sense for the next generation to adopt the A19 Pro.
The rumored Studio Display 2 (codenamed J427) set to debut at the beginning of next year has also been revealed in this leak. Since Apple first launched its Studio Display product in 2022, there has not been an update to the display product line.
Surprisingly, it seems that the Studio Display 2 will also come equipped with the A19 Pro chip.
For an external display, this configuration seems somewhat overpowered. In contrast, when Apple’s Studio Display was launched at the beginning of 2022, it used the “stock” A13 chip from 2019. This led to speculation that
the new Studio Display might offer some AI capabilities, such as supporting the major revamp of Siri by early next year.
The leak also mentions the new HomePod mini and Apple TV. Among them, the next-generation HomePod mini will use the T8310 microarchitecture chip from the Apple Watch series.

The chips currently used in Apple Watch Series 9 and 10 feature the T8310 core, and it is expected that Apple Watch Series 11 will also adopt this technology. Therefore, it remains unclear whether the chip will be referred to as S9, S10, or S11. However, it will significantly outperform the current S5 of the HomePod mini 2.
Previous market expectations suggested that the new HomePod mini would be released between September and December this year.
Another product that might see an upgrade this year is the Apple TV. Reports suggest that the new product may use the A17 Pro chip. Currently, the Apple TV 4K is equipped with the A15 Bionic chip. Upgrading to the A17 Pro will bring significant performance improvements—not only supporting “Apple Smart” but also enabling some instances to run console-level games.
