On August 17th, local time, according to the preliminary count of votes in the presidential election in Bolivia, no candidate won in the first round, and the country will hold a second round of presidential election.

On the 17th, Bolivia held a new round of presidential and parliamentary elections. Nearly 7.94 million voters across the country will vote for a new president, as well as a vice president, 36 senators, 130 congressmen and 9 representatives of cross-border legislative institutions.

According to the Constitution of Bolivia, a candidate for the presidency must receive more than 50% of the votes, or more than 40% of the votes and have a lead of more than 10 percentage points over the second place candidate to win.
